Marketing Assistant

Are you an internet-savvy marketer who wants to grow your career with a Jesus-centered, remote company? The Virtual Mama is looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our team!

About The Role

The Virtual Mama is looking for a right-hand Marketing Assistant with diverse skills to manage its content output and assist with other marketing-related tasks.

Duties include:

  • Create and schedule content for WordPress blog, Facebook/Instagram, and email
  • Upload weekly newsletter into MailerLIte
  • Assist with Canva graphics for marketing assets
  • Conduct research for speaking and earned media opportunities
  • Write or edit blog posts in our brand voice
  • Assist with social media engagement

Please note that we share faith-based content on the topic of entrepreneurship. Due to the nature of our content, we are looking for someone who shares our Biblical values.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year or more of relevant experience working in a marketing or related role
  • Previous experience writing blog content
  • Previous experience with email marketing platforms
  • Some knowledge about social media platforms and trends
  • Basic understanding of branding principles like brand voice
  • You can make pretty Canva graphics
  • Comfortable using platforms like Zoom, Slack, Google Drive, ClickUp

Great to have:

  • You listen to marketing podcasts or develop your skills in general
  • You can take a joke and appreciate a good meme 🙂
  • You’re familiar with the online coaching/course creation industry OR have taken courses in the past
  • If I talk about launches or funnels, you know what I’m referring to 🙂 (You don’t have to be an expert)

We’re looking for someone who is familiar with the online business space and has some background in digital marketing. We don’t expect you to know everything, but we also can not train someone from scratch. You need to own your role and work independently, but also be willing to receive feedback well and work collaboratively.

Because of the nature of this role, we need someone who is native to the USA.

Starting out, this will be a 1099 contractor position. We’re looking for someone we can work with long-term, so if you’d like to work with a company you can grow with then we’d love for you to apply!

Compensation: starts at $20/hr with room for growth! Expect 10-20/hrs a month starting out.
